I have now refined the whole canvas and added some more details on the foliage and the Gorilla. The painting is now finished and so it is on to my next one – a very large tiger!

With such devastating news lately of the murder of 4 mountain gorilla it seemed fitting that my latest commission would be a giant silverback, just like the one that was killed.
As huge as they are they are so gentle, their main threat is man.
This painting is about 24 x 20in, oil on canvas.
