I’ve just started to paint this magnificent African Giraffe. The photos below shows the very 1st stages – I have drawn the giraffe and scene on the canvas and also toned the canvas with Burnt Sienna, just to eliminate the stark whiteness. I’ve also started to block in the sky and distant trees / bushes.
The subsequent photos show more layesr being added as I complete the blocking in stage.

Hi Jason!
I just checked back here to see what you are working on… I was so happy to see a Giraffe! I love Giraffes! I moved to California.. have been painting a lot and am getting back to some animal works again. I love browsing your site for inspiration.
Can’t wait to see this one when it’s done!

Hi Jason.
I have just found your site this afternoon after searching images for leopard photo’s which is my next project. I was so mesmerized by what you do I have spent the whole afternoon looking through your site. I have tried all sorts of different subjects and also done some commission dogs and cats and for my own pleasure a wolf and tiger which now look rubbish compared to yours. I have signed up for your newsletter and ordered your CD and from what I have read in comments from others am eager to try your way. Thank you so much Jason for giving me this insight on how to improve my own work and hope I can do you justice in my own efforts. My project is on hold until my CD arrives. Is the E Book the same as the content on the CD?
Thanks again Jason for sharing your work.
Regards
Susan

No worries there Jason. At least I’ll always have the CD if my PC goes down. Thanks
