Tiger Painting – Beginning to Refine the Painting

With the underpainting now fully completed I can now begin to refine the tiger a little – bear in mind that this is still very much an underpainting and the real details haven’t been painted yet in any area.

As you all know my technique is really an improvement on each layer, as I gradually sneak up on the completion., It’s really an improvement on each previous layers mistakes 🙂

That looks like a photo already. Awesome work. Mind telling me what colour you use for the nose. It looks like the real thing! Or do you have the mixing in your ebook. I have your book in my laptop here somewhere…I should go look…

      HI,

That’s just the undercoat on the nose so far, so it’s a bit too pink. It was something like, white, cad red medium, aliz crimson and maybe a bit of burnt umber to dull it down.

Thank you! I’ll have to go and play with my paints…
