African Wild Dogs – Painting Finished (Painted Dogs) by Jason Morgan wildlife artist

Well as the title says my African Wild Dogs painting is now finished. I really enjoyed doing this oil painting as it had so many challenging elements in it such as the water, grasses and the Wild Dogs of course šŸ™‚

I hope you think I managed to pull all that together and do these magnificent creatures justice.

You can see some step by steps of this painting on my wildlife art site
The painting is 26in x 11in and is oil on canvas as per usual.

  1. I think you did a great job. The simple composition readily allows me to be intrigued by the action of the dogs. I like how the one dog stands out against the light background while the other 3 blend into their surroundings.

  2. The color and detail in this painting is absolutely beautiful. Great job.

  3. Thanks for commenting on my blog Jason! Your work truly inspires me and this painting is no exception. I especially love the colors you used and the movement and reflection in the water. Stunning work!!! Colette
